They’re back: Obama, Biden ready to ‘raise money, recruit, and campaign’ to lead uprising against Trump

After remaining hidden from the spotlight since Trump took over January, Barack Obama and Joe Biden are gearing up for a political fight against the Trump White House.

On Sunday, Biden gave a speech in New Hampshire where he indicated that both he and Obama were ready to get back on the campaign trail to help boost Democratic causes across the country.

“I’m ready to help raise money, recruit candidates, campaign — so is Barack — wherever you want, just let me know,” Biden exclaimed to the crowd.

So, Biden’s first public appearance since leaving the White House was to rile the Democrats up to fight back against the Trump administration going forward. He didn’t tell the crowd to get behind another big named Democrat like Elizabeth Warren or Chuck Schumer; he made it clear that both he and Obama were ready to be the leaders of the fight.

While Obama has been quietly working on his memoir since Trump was sworn in on January 20, Biden has remained hidden from political outings.

It appears Obama has been working very hard behind the scenes as he gears up for his political comeback. Last week, it was reported that Obama is slated to earn $400,000 for a speaking gig in September and was paid the same amount for his speech in Chicago last week.

Aside from Obama making moves, rumors are still running amok that Biden is mulling a run for president in 2020, though he claims he will not.

“Guys, I’m not running,” Biden said Sunday as the boos came from the crowd.

It is also worth noting that Biden’s speech occurred in New Hampshire, the early voting state that often plays a major role in forecasting a candidates success in the primaries.

Biden told the crowed that he still believes Hillary Clinton “would have made a great president” had she been able to defeat Donald Trump.

He closed his speech out to cheers from the crowd when he offered a few comments about President Trump.

“Trump was pretty smart. He made it all personal,” Biden said just before hurling an insult. “This bile sucked up all the oxygen.”

“We’ve always overcome xenophobia and bigotry … If we do it, we’ll win again,” Biden said as he left the stage.
