Caitlyn Jenner wishes President Trump would do more to help the LGBTQ community, but does not regret voting for him.
Jenner made the remarks to CNN host Don Lemon, who was undoubtedly disappointed that a fellow LGBT activist has not turned on Trump. “Do you think it was a mistake to vote for Donald Trump?” Lemon said.
Jenner replied: “No, not yet … As far as LGBT issues, yes, he has made some mistakes. I don’t support him in everything that he does. But we needed to shake the system up.”
Caitlyn added that Trump is the man “we need to turn this country around. To have career politicians constantly — the Clintons, the Bushes — run this country [is bad]. We need to get outside that box and shake things up again.”

Earlier this week, Jenner told Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson that it’s tough being a conservative today because you can be bullied or beaten up just for admitting you’re a Trump supporter. “It was easier to come out as transgender than to come out as a Republican,” Jenner told Carlson.
Bruce Jenner won the gold medal in the decathlon at the 1976 Montreal Olympics, which catapulted his career as a Hollywood celebrity and sports icon. In June 2015, “Caitlyn Jenner” publicly came out as a transgender woman after decades of secretly cross-dressing, saying she “always felt like a woman.”
When asked why she didn’t vote for Hillary Clinton given how much she pandered to the LGBTQ community, Jenner said it’s because she supports limited government and has given up on the Democratic party.
“I would rather convince the Republican Party to do a better job when it comes to gay rights than to try to convince the Democrats to lower taxes and lower regulations and let our country thrive economically,” she told Tucker.
In 2016, Caitlyn said she would “never, ever” vote for Hillary, whom she called a “f*cking liar”: “I would never ever ever vote for Hillary. We’re done if Hillary becomes President. The country is over.”
