President Donald Trump promised that he would offer proof that his campaign was wiretapped in the near future.
This came in response to a question by Fox News host Tucker Carlson about an accusation he’d made on social media that “Obama had my wires tapped in Trump Tower.”

The president told Carlson during this exclusive interview that wiretapping “covers a lot of different things,” and gave some examples.
“That really covers surveillance and many other things,” he said. “Nobody ever talks about the fact that [the words ‘wires tapped’] was in quotes [in the tweet], but that’s a very important thing.”
Trump indicated that his administration “will be submitting things” to Congress to back up his claim “very soon,” adding that he “will be, perhaps speaking about this next week.”
He predicted that “you’re going to find some very interesting items coming to the forefront over the next 2 weeks.”
Trump and Carlson also discussed repealing and replacing Obamacare, his continued use of social media — especially Twitter and MSNBC’s publication of his 2005 federal tax forms.
Trump’s interview took place the night before the a joint statement from the Senate intel committee was released stating an investigation found ‘no indications’ Trump Tower was subject to surveillance.
