On more than one occasion, President Donald Trump has spoken about the unsavory, if not outright illegal collusion between rogue government sources and the media.
As is often the case, when the president draws attention to an issue, his concerns are often confirmed in short order.
Case in point, New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof coveted such complicity in a tweet Sunday asking for an IRS source to leak Trump’s income tax returns.

Clearly Kristof yearns for the days under Barack Obama, when the IRS was a more reliable ally to the left.
Social media users were quick to note that not only would it be illegal for an IRS employees to leak the returns, Kristof’s solicitation might draw a little scrutiny as well.
