Rambo in D.C.? Trump reportedly hits up Sylvester Stallone to join the new administration

stallone-trumpHollywood legend Sylvester Stallone of “Rocky” and “Rambo” fame may be hanging up his boxing gloves to join the Donald Trump administration in a senior arts role, all in an effort to make the arts great again.

The news was revealed exclusively to the Daily Mail by sources close to the transition team. Although no specific role was mentioned, the most likely position would be Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts.

If heading the federal agency that endows funds to aspiring artists is indeed the position Trump has in mind, his appointment would have to be confirmed by the Senate.

Stallone bucked the Hollywood trend by becoming an early (but not official) Trump supporter. Trump, in turn, came out with a “Rocky”-inspired ad that proclaimed, “Life’s not about how hard of a hit you can give. It’s about how many you can take, and still keep moving forward.”

Recently a group of Hollywood actors came out with an embarrassing ad imploring Republican Electoral College electors to switch their vote from Trump to someone else — anyone other than Trump.

“It’s been widely and wrongly assumed that a Trump Presidency will be hostile to the arts,” a source told DailyMail.com.

“But Mr Trump feels this sort of A-list appointment is precisely the shot in the arm that the industry needs,” the source added.

That prompted a flurry of comments, including one about Trump’s alleged Russian connection.

One thing’s for sure — it’s gonna be a fun ride.
