Megyn Kelly hammered Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence over poll numbers and Donald Trump’s insistence that the election is rigged.
Kelly confronted Pence with recent polls that showed Trump trailing in several key states and wondered if maybe Trump should “change the message” a little instead of blaming the media.

“The only poll that counts is the one we’re going to finish up come Election Day,” Pence responded on Fox News’ “The Kelly File” on Tuesday. “The pollsters and pundits are missing something in this election.”

But Kelly pressed Pence, grilling him over Trump’s “blaming a rigged media” for poll numbers.
“Why not take some responsibility? Why doesn’t Trump look at himself?” she asked.
“Winners take responsibility, losers blame others,” Kelly said, quoting her Fox News colleague Brit Hume.
Pence brushed off the criticism, unlike Newt Gingrich who blasted Kelly later in the show with a blistering attack on her bias against Trump
“I hear that riff a little bit that pointing out the overwhelming bias in the national media is somehow making an excuse,” he said. “I think he’s just making an observation.”
Pence added that Trump has been under attack by the press from the beginning, crediting the media with doing “half of Hillary Clinton’s work for her.”
