Donald Trump supporter Scottie Nell Hughes had the unenviable task of being a guest on a CNN panel discussing a bombshell video released Friday by the Washington Post that captured the GOP nominee saying vulgar things about women.
…a panel that would eventually deteriorate when a fight over the word “p***y” broke out.
Trump was engaged in what he described as “locker room banter” with former Access Hollywood host Billy Bush and the candidate has since apologized for the remarks, saying he is “not a perfect man.”
But CNN host Don Lemon, serving as judge and executioner, steered the panel of guests in a one-sided discussion about the incident, with Hughes doing her best to offer a little perspective. She pointed out that Hillary Clinton is not held to the same standard Trump is held to in the media and reminded them that Clinton has never apologized for many of the things she is guilty of doing.
The panel included liberal blowhard Bob Beckel, who chimed in that the race is now over and the only question remaining is how does the GOP minimize the damage.
“You’ll rue the day your daughter sees this film,” Beckel appears to tell Hughes.
The panel disintegrated into chaos when a battle over the word p***y broke out between Hughes and strongly anti-Trump Republican strategist Ana Navarro.
“Every single Republican is going to have to answer the question, ‘What did you do the day you saw the tape of this man boasting about grabbing a woman’s p***y?’ Period!” Navarro said in summary of the days events.
Hughes interrupted her fellow panelist to say: “Would you stop saying that word my daughter is listening.”
The GOP strategist blew a gasket.
“You know what, Scottie? Don’t tell me you’re offended when I say p***y but you’re not offended with Donald Trump says it!” Navarro fired back. “I’m not running for president he is!”
“I said I was offended by him saying that too,” Hughes reminded the highly emotional Navarro.
