After a squabble erupted between them, Fox News hosts Sean Hannity and Megyn Kelly appear to have made nice.
Kelly tweeted a picture of them together on the set of her show on Thursday night, with the caption, “We’re Irish. It’s complicated. #friends.”

Hannity had slammed his Fox colleague on Wednesday after she called out the presidential nominees for avoiding hard-hitting media interviews. Hannity took issue with Kelly’s comment about Donald Trump and accused her of being a Hillary Clinton supporter.
But as Kelly signed off on Thursday, she handed off to Hannity as “my friend.”

Many expressed a collective sigh of relief, genuine or not, across Twitter.
@megynkelly Today’s tie, today’s dress. Glad you kids made up.

@megynkelly That makes me happy.

@megynkelly That’s sweet. I thought you were going to have to kick him off the air, or maybe make him go to CNN, or live with Maddow.

@megynkelly No politician is worth losing a good friendship. ?

@megynkelly I’m 100% Irish. But I’m not THAT Irish.

Others remained skeptical and believe the picture was contrived by Fox execs for the betterment of the station:
Fox execs manufacture a happy ending. https://t.co/x49C2Di7Pc

Puh -leeze. Who hasn’t gotten a memo from management and told play nice on the air @megynkelly? I mean besides me ? https://t.co/J61THFruXQ
— Michael Castner (@MichaelCastner) October 7, 2016
@megynkelly No, you don’t get to blame your Irish blood. It was a memo from your corporate masters to make nice. Nothing Irish about that.

The fact that both Hannity and Kelly tweeted the same picture and caption minutes apart added more skepticism:
This is so weird. The exact same wording. #friends? pic.twitter.com/cUFIyxhT0y
— Michael Schwab (@michaelschwab13) October 7, 2016
@seanhannity @megynkelly They told you to knock it off, didn’t they?
— Jeremy (@VitruvianMonkey) October 7, 2016
Hannity did his best to quell the doubters, probably to no avail:
Actually that’s just not true. 2 friends just worked out a MINOR disagreement https://t.co/JduyLi949p
