Fox News host Sean Hannity has been among the most vocal of Donald Trump supporters on both his radio and television shows, but it appears that participating in a promotional video for the Republican nominee’s presidential campaign may be a bridge too far for the network.
Appearing with other conservatives such as rocker Ted Nugent and Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke, Hannity recorded his support on an iPhone for the video:
“One of the reasons I’m supporting Donald Trump this year is, No. 1, he’s going to put originalists on the Supreme Court, people that believe in fidelity to the Constitution, separation of powers, co-equal branches of government,” Hannity said. “He’s a guy that will vet refugees to keep Americans safe. And of course he’s gonna build that wall. He says he’s gonna have Mexico pay for it. That’s fine, as long as we secure the country and of course we don’t want people competing for jobs. He said he will eliminate Obamacare, make us energy-independent. And as somebody who’s been a marksman since I’m 11 years old, protecting our Second Amendment rights are paramount to me.”
Problem is, according to the Washington Post’s Erik Wemple, the network didn’t realize their popular evening show host had participated in the 8-minute video advertisement, and they apparently weren’t thrilled about it.
“We had no knowledge that Sean Hannity was participating in this,” a Fox spokesperson told Wemple. “He will not be doing anything along these lines for the remainder of the election.”
While some have complained about the fact that Hannity has made no bones about the fact that he strongly supports Donald Trump, when you consider the fact that literally every other show on every other news network is completely in the bag for Hillary, Hannity’s Trump support doesn’t even come close to balancing the scales!
Check out the #Heartland4Trump video below. Hannity’s 32-second shout-out appears around the six-minute mark.
