Trump hits hard in economic speech: I’ll create jobs, ‘only thing she can offer is a welfare check’

Donald Trump contrasted his plan for economic growth Thursday to that of his Democratic opponent, who he said can only offer more economic stagnation.

The Republican presidential nominee said at The Economic Club of New York in New York City that Clinton rejects the time-tested policy of lowering taxes and loosening regulations that drive the marketplace.

“The only people who get rich under Hillary Clinton’s scheme are the donors and the special interests.” he said.

“In Hillary Clinton’s America, we have surrendered our status as the world’s great economy, and we have surrendered our middle class to the whims of foreign countries.”

He went on to say that although Clinton’s proposal of more taxation and increased regulation will do nothing to add new jobs or create more wealth for Americans, she can nonetheless offer something for Americans.

He continued to tout himself as the job creator.

“The only thing she can ever offer is a welfare check,” Trump said. On the other hand, “our plan will produce paychecks, and they’re going to be great paychecks for millions of people now unemployed.”
