Get ready for ‘one bathroom fits all’ policy in fed buildings to take root thanks to Obama admin

Remember in May when the Obama administration required public schools to allow students to use the restroom and locker facilities that match their sexual identity on that particular day? Well, the rule is going to be extended to include all federal buildings.

BuzzFeed News got its hand on a draft of the administrative rule that will be published in The Federal Register. It will mean some 9,200 federal properties managed by the General Services Administration will be required to meet the rule.

“This includes all kinds of Americans,” GSA spokesperson Ashley Nash-Hahn told BuzzFeed. “We wanted to make clear that a person can use facilities that match their gender identity, and we think that’s a good thing.”

It doesn’t cover those “kinds of Americans” who feel uncomfortable relieving themselves in the presence of a person of the opposite sex — which is arguably most Americans.

“Federal agencies occupying space under the jurisdiction, custody, or control of GSA must allow individuals to use restroom facilities and related areas consistent with their gender identity,” GSA Administrator Denise Turner Roth said in an Aug. 8 bulletin sent to agency heads.

Riots in Milwaukee, massive flooding in Louisiana and wildfires sweeping across California, and this is what concerns President Obama?
