A long-time Democrat and entrepreneur says a life-changing event put him on the road to being a fan of Donald Trump.
Ken Lanci, an Ohio businessman and author of “Working For the Greater Good of All,” ran an unsuccessful bid for Cleveland mayor in 2013. Lanci’s second chance at life after suffering ” massive cardiac arrest” caused him to change some of his views and priorities, as he shared on “Fox and Friends Weekend” on Saturday. He has thrown his full support behind the Republican presidential nominee, whom he said “doesn’t really realize yet the plan that God has for him.”
Lanci noted that his experience as a businessman running for political office is similar to what Trump is dealing with.
“When I ran for mayor, the Republican Party held a fundraiser for the other Democrat,” Lanci recalled. “As a businessman, they didn’t want me in. They didn’t want somebody that they couldn’t control. So he is going through the same thing I had been going through when I ran.”
