Dana Perino is most disturbed by something Obama did the morning after Benghazi attack

How can anyone read the comprehensive Benghazi report and believe America will be safer with essentially a third term of Obama — in the form of Hillary Clinton — as commander-in-chief?

The report showed that a mountain of bureaucratic red tape and confusion prolonged the deployment of U.S. military to aid Americans under siege in the 2012 Benghazi attack.

The report indicates a myriad of miscommunication, confusion and perhaps the most damning, a bigger effort to craft a public response rather than deal with the situation as it unfolded, was all part of the 13 hour delay to save Americans.

In detail, the report reveals what happened leading up to the now debunked explanation given by the State Department that a video sparked the deadly attack.

Fox New reported:

The committee report identified for the first time a White House meeting that was convened roughly three hours into the attack and included deputies to senior Cabinet members and Clinton.

Stevens was missing at the time. But the report found “much of the conversation focused on the video (which) is surprising given no direct link or solid evidence existed connecting the attacks in Benghazi and the video at the time.”

The report found that “five of the 10 action items from the rough notes of the 7:30 pm meeting reference the video.”

The report also showed that there were top-level calls to have the video removed from the Internet, before any of the forces that were ordered deployed “had actually moved.”

A senior watch officer at the State Department’s diplomatic security command described the Benghazi siege as a “full-on attack against the compound.”

Contrary to reports coming from Washington, the officer said none of the information coming from agents on the ground in Benghazi mentioned a video or a protest. The officer did say accurate “firsthand accounts made their way to the office of the Secretary through multiple channels quickly,” the report concluded.

Not good news for the presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton who already has a serious credibility problem.

But Commander-in-Chief Obama isn’t off the hook either.

Former Press Secretary for President Bush, Dana Perino ripped the administration’s charade in front of the American people to look as if action was being taken on the ground, when in fact meetings were being held on how to ‘spin’ the story in front of the public.

And in case anyone has forgotten, the Benghazi attack took place before Obama’s crucial 2012 re-election.

What Perino found most shocking, was President Obama’s refusal to receive an in-person briefing specifically regarding the Benghazi situation the morning after the attack, and instead received a routine daily-briefing memo before taking off for a fundraiser in Las Vegas.

And he probably sleeps like a baby. Incredible.

State Department spokesman Mark Toner, along with the White House have come out in front of the report with accusations that Republicans are pedaling conspiracy theories to side track Hillary Clinton.

The report, Fox reported, said the department “withheld a number of documents from the Committee based on ‘executive branch confidentiality interests,’ an administration-constructed privilege not recognized by the Constitution.”

Four brave Americans were murdered in the September 11, 2012 attacks in Benghazi, Libya, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, foreign service officer Sean Smith and CIA contractors Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods.
