On Monday, President Obama told reporters that Americans must do “some soul searching” about the “ease” with which terrorists get guns. Apparently, the President thinks Omar Mateen’s radical Islamic ideology had a lot less to do with him being a homicidal murderer than his access to firearms.
“The fact that we make it so challenging for law enforcement even to get alerted that somebody who they are watching has purchased a gun,” Obama said. “And if they do get alerted, sometimes it’s hard for them to stop them from getting a gun is crazy. We need, I think, to do some soul searching. The point is, if we have self radicalized individuals in this country, then they are — going to be — very difficult oftentimes to find ahead of time. And how easy it is for them to obtain weapons — is in some cases going to make a difference as to whether they’re able to carry out this or not.”
Radio talk show host and Blaze TV personality Dana Loesch, however, took issue with Obama’s comments and took to Twitter to fire back with some blazingly accurate observations of her own.
