Country superstar Ronnie Dunn slammed President Obama’s speech addressing the massacre in Orlando and criticized the anti-gun rhetoric in a series of posts on Facebook.
The country music legend, and half of the Grammy-winning country music duo of Brooks & Dunn, took to Facebook to rip Obama’s response to the terror attack on Sunday.
Dunn called the president out for his focus on gun control and his refusal to use the words radical Islam.
Dunn interacted with those leaving comments on the Facebook post, defending his position and gun ownership.
“Research the number of ‘shooters’ who have been on or were at some time on SSRI (prozac etc.) prescribed drugs. It’s not the gun Julie. Next, assign the number of deaths to radical ideology. . 75% of ALL gun deaths in America are suicides. FACT. RD,” he wrote.
“The information is out there and online,” Dunn responded to another comment. “You just have to dig. I spoke with some law enforcement officials about the drug and suicide issues. Americans are either being lead by idiots or the PUBLIC is being fed misinformation. RD”
Dunn floated an idea that would likely strike a chord with millions of Americans in one of his comments:
“What would’ve happened if the nation’s leader had walked up and said….’America, we are now going to offer public national anti-terrorism seminars. After you take the courses and pass the tests you will be allowed to attain a carry permit… Arm yourselves. We are OFFICIALLY, at war with a global, radical ideology.’ RD”
