There’s not much glee to be found in a federal indictment.

Former “Glee” star Mark Salling has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of receiving and possessing child pornography.

The Department of Justice announced last week that the 33-year-old actor was named in a two count indictment alleging he received videos and still images of child pornography involving young girls in December 2015, People magazine reported.

Investigators say they found thousands of images and videos depicting child pornography on a laptop, a hard drive, and a USB flash drive seized from Salling’s residence.

The actor was arrested on December 29 and booked in Los Angeles on a $20,000 bail, according to People.

Salling, who played Noah “Puck” Puckerman in the Fox musical series, is currently a free man, but has allegedly agreed through his attorney to surrender to federal authorities on June 3 to face the charges in the indictment, a DOJ press release stated. He is expected to be arraigned on that date.

The incident is yet another black eye for Hollywood, following recent remarks from actors Elijah Wood and Corey Feldman on pedophilia in the entertainment industry.

Lt. Andrea Grossman, commander of the LAPD Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, let it be known that when it comes to child abuse, no one is above the law.

“It doesn’t matter who you are or what you do, if you hurt a child you will be held accountable,” Grossman said. “These images are more than photographs, they are child abuse.”

This is not the first time Salling has been hit with onerous charges, according to People. He was sued by a former girlfriend in January 2013 for sexual battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence — Roxanne Gorzela eventually reached a settlement with Salling for a tidy sum of about $2.7 million.
