If the man who owns golf courses all over the world didn’t have golf covered, he certainly does now. After all, the greatest golfer of all time is officially aboard the Trump Train.
In an interview with Jim Axelrod scheduled to air Sunday at 9 a.m. on CBS Sunday Morning, eighteen-time major winner Jack Nicklaus said he is supporting Donald Trump for President.
“Actually, Donald’s terrific,” Nicklaus said. “I’ve done several things with Donald. Golf courses. And he has absolutely treated me great.”
“I like what Donald has done. He’s turning America upside down. He’s awakening the country.”
“We need a little of that?” Axelrod asked.
“We need a lot of that. Is he a politician? Is he as smooth and politically correct as he should be? Probably not. But he’ll learn. He’s not stupid,” Nickaus said. “He didn’t get where he was being dumb. I like the guy. He’s a good man. And certainly, if he’s the one that’s on the ticket, I’ll be voting for him.”
