Victims of illegal immigration are among Donald Trump’s most ardent supporters.
At a Costa Mesa, California Trump rally Thursday, members of the Remembrance Project, comprised of families who’ve lost loved ones at the hands of illegal immigrants, joined the Republican presidential front-runner onstage.
He invited project member and former Democrat Jamiel Shaw Sr. to say a few words about his son, who was murdered in 2008 by an illegal immigrant.
“For the first time, I saw real hope, real change,” in Trump, Shaw said, repeating President Obama’s battle cry in his 2008 campaign.
“Changes are coming,” Shaw told the cheering crowd. “Changes are coming.”
