Bill Clinton stands by his woman … or something like that.
Looking to mitigate any possible blow back from black voters following the animated exchange husband Bill had last week with Black Lives Matter supporters, probable Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton said the former president was just doing what came natural — defending her.
“He does take defending and protecting me very seriously, and I appreciate that,” Clinton said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
The candidate also continues to stand by her man, saying Bill Clinton “has a great legacy” as a two-term president.
Hillary infamously stood by her husband when his tryst with White House intern Monica Lewinsky blew up and went on the offensive against some of the women who have accused him of sexual assault, so Bill may feel as if he owes her one.
