Geraldo Rivera finally went completely off the charts bonkers and accused Ted Cruz of anti-Semitism.
Thursday night Rivera told Fox News host Bill O’Reilly that the phrase “New York values,” which the Texas senator often uses to distinguish himself from the Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump, is actually a coded anti-Semitic message.
“Aside from the stinking anti-Semitic implications that I see in that whole ‘New York values,’ money and media coded message that he put out there pandering to those Iowa voters…” Rivera said.
But O’Reilly wasn’t buying it.
“If he says ‘New York values’ to a bunch of Evangelicals, it’s not anti-Semitic. He’s pointing to de Blasio, to Cuomo, to these, to the progressives crew,” he countered.
“He could’ve very easily said not ‘New York values,’ he could’ve said ‘Democratic,’ ‘liberal,’ ‘free spending,’ ‘welfare,’ there’s a million ways he could’ve said it that he did not. He did not,” Rivera argued.
But O’Reilly still wasn’t sold.
“Come on. You don’t have to do that, either,” he told Rivera.
“He chose that very cunningly, and now he’s gonna pay the price,” Rivera concluded.
