Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chair of the Democratic National Committee, offered up a confusing solution to the water crisis in Flint.
Apparently forgetting that President Obama, who has been in office during the entire time of the Michigan emergency, is a Democrat, Wasserman Schultz suggested another Democrat in office was the answer.
Democrats have the backs of the people of Flint now, and will continue to. We need to elect another Dem in November: https://t.co/D8HjGP6hQM

In a statement released after the Democratic Debate in Flint on Sunday, the Florida Representative criticized Republicans for “barely acknowledging the water crisis.” This apparent disrespect, she said, was “one more example of why we have to elect a Democrat as our next President.”
In other words,
We the Democrats vow to take office away from these democrats and fix democrat malfeasance through democrat policy! https://t.co/pUsc1dLpko

Social media was quick to weigh in on the confusion and slammed the Democratic chairwoman for the discrepancy.

Even Michael Moore weighed in.
Flint has voted for Dems for 84 straight yrs. What did it get us? For 18 months Dems remained silent &ignored pleas while Flint was poisoned

Democrats were at best asleep at the wheel, at worst willfully negligent in Flint – and elsewhere. Dump them, folks. https://t.co/SlxnDyv218
