‘Wow!’ Here’s the beautiful moment on the GOP campaign trail everyone’s talking about

While politicians like to say that they really care about the needs, hardships, and interests of the voters, on Thursday, one candidate’s empathy was demonstrated in a powerfully beautiful moment.

It all began when a supporter at a rally for Republican presidential candidate John Kasich told his story of driving up to South Carolina from Georgia to see the Ohio governor.

Politico reporter Shane Goldmacher, who’s covering the 2016 presidential race, reported that moment with this tweet:

Everyone was obviously moved.

And on that note, if there’s anything that has distinguished 2016 from previous presidential election years, it’s been rancor and name-calling. This was a much needed respite from that.
