Republican presidential contender Ted Cruz jokingly threatened to leave the stage at one point during the Fox News GOP debate Thursday due to the moderators inviting other candidates to single the Texas senator out.
“I noticed that the last four questions had been, ‘Rand, please attack Ted,’ ‘Marco please attack Ted,’ ‘Chris please attack Ted,’ ‘Jeb please attack Ted,’” Cruz said, prompting boos from the audience.
He turned the boos and jeers to laughter and applause with this statement.
“If you guys ask one more mean question, I may have to leave the stage!” he quipped.
