“Real Housewives” star and businesswoman Bethenny Frankel is sticking to her guns despite the brutal criticism she received over the statement she made Friday about her interaction with Kmart employees who did not speak English.
Being called a xenophobe and a racist (read more here), Frankel is standing by her Twitter and Instagram posts about the poor customer service she received from Kmart employees who could not effectively communicate with her for not knowing the English language: “No excuse for being at a retailer & not able to be directed to what u need. Zero to do w race.”
“I’m not a celebrity that tries to please everybody and I don’t need everybody to like me. I just need them to know that I’m telling them the truth and my perspective. I definitely start fires in my own fireplace.”
It’s refreshing to see someone hold their ground in the face of unreasonable accusations (unlike the wimps in the Academy who just couldn’t take the heat).
