Only animals are supposed to eat their own — and establishment Republicans.
In Sunday’s opening statement, Judge Jeanine Pirro went after establishment Republicans for targeting the party’s front-runner presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Pirro included South Carolina Nikki Haley as a target of her scorn for Haley’s GOP rebuttal to President Obama’s State of the Union address.
“Instead of taking the opportunity to identify how this Democrat administration has failed us, [Haley] takes a shot and chastises Donald Trump,” she said.
Although Haley didn’t call out Trump by name, she admitted in a later interview that he was among those to whom she referred.
“Who anointed you to take a shot at the leading contender for president in your own party?” Pirro said. “In a nationally televised historic rebuttal, when you could have laid out a strategy of how the very fabric of America has changed under this Democratic so-called leadership.”
Pirro said that Haley sailed into office on a “Tea Party wave” of support.
“And now you epitomize the very establishment that you promised to change,” she argued.
Pirro opined that the reason establishment Republicans are turning their backs on their front-runner is that he doesn’t dance “the Washington two-step where one hand washes the other” in order to remain in office.
