He blew up the establishment, what’s not to like? O’Reilly, Beck clash over ‘problem-solver’ Trump

Glenn Beck hasn’t moved an inch in his opinion of Donald Trump.

Conservative firebrand Beck appeared Friday on Fox News, joining Bill O’Reilly on “The O’Reilly Factor” to discuss Thursday’s Republican debate and ended up butting heads with his pal over Donald Trump.

Beck described the debate as “good television” and said Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio fared best, but made it clear that he “doesn’t understand the Donald Trump thing.”

“Do you remember when I used to talk about how the progressives were in the Republican Party, as well?” Beck asked. “That’s Donald Trump!”

He reminded Factor viewers that Trump voted for Barack Obama in the 2008 presidential election and later asked, “When is the last time you heard [Trump] talk about the Constitution?”

O’Reilly countered that Trump was focused on his business in 2008 and that he “is not an ideologue.”

“Donald Trump is a unique politician,” O’Reilly said, disagreeing with Beck’s progressive tag. “You cannot put him in any other category. Either you like him or you don’t like him.”

Progressives, I know,” Beck fired back. “He is a progressive!”

“I just don’t think you’re getting Trump’s essence,” O’Reilly told his guest. “It’s about two things: Blowing up the establishment – which he succeeded in doing on the Republican side – and problem-solving.”

Beck responded by suggesting that the establishment is suddenly for Trump “because they know he is a deal-maker.”
