A weekend shooting spree left six dead and over 50 people injured in Chicago, which has left the city in a state of havoc.

Sixteen of those shot were said to be teenagers, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Fifty-seven people have been shot since Friday at 5 p.m., according to ABC 7 in Chicago.
One incident injured a 38-year-old man around 11 a.m. Saturday, who suffered wounds in his lower body, according to the police, the Tribune reported. Two more were shot nearly an hour later with a man in his 50s ended up dead in the hospital;.
Between 1:30- 5:30 p.m., three men in their 20s were shot separately around the city.
Over a dozen were shot early Sunday morning, with some suffering wounds in the stomach, arms or legs. The youngest wounded due to the gun violence was 11-years-old.
The last shooting occurred a little before 6 a.m. when a 33-year-old man took shots to both of his legs.
One of the shootings happened when two shooters fired at a block party. Several shooters in a separate incident walked up to a courtyard and began firing their guns.
Some people were injured in drive-by shootings.
The shootings came after the Chicago Police Department declared that the city had experienced a 10 percent drop in shootings and murders for the month of July.
The police plans to expand the department by roughly 1,000 officers to combat crime, ABC 7reported on Wednesday.
