The White House revealed a new voicemail recording Sunday, this one blaming Democrats for shutting down the government over immigration.
The public line to the White House that allows the public to leave messages for President Donald Trump now blames Democrats for holding up funding for America’s troops over an “unrelated immigration debate,” reports CNN.

“Thank you for calling the White House. Unfortunately, we cannot answer your call today because congressional Democrats are holding government funding, including funding for our troops and other national security priorities, hostage to an unrelated immigration debate. Due to this obstruction, the government is shut down,” the recording says.
The government shut down Friday after Senate Democrats and some Republicans refused to vote on stop-gap funding bill because it did not include protections for those in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.
