Video: Regular people use fencing and anything they can find as stretchers to save fellow Americans in Vegas

Hate-filled gunmen opening fire on unsuspecting citizens is now an all-too-familiar sight in America, but so too is the reaction by heroic individuals who risk their lives to help others.

In what is now the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history, a lone gunman fired on a crowd attending a country music festival in Las Vegas from a room on the 32nd floor of the nearby Mandalay Bay hotel.

The suspected gunman, Stephen Paddock, killed at least 58 people and wounded hundreds more before taking his own life.

And people were using whatever they could find to help pull victims from the scene, even a wheelbarrow.

CBS legal exec: ‘I’m not sympathetic’ to Vegas victims ‘because country music fans often are Republican’

One after another, wounded concertgoers can be seen on camera being carried out.

A man driving a pickup truck agrees to allow his vehicle to be commandeered as a makeshift ambulance, as his female companion, beside herself in grief and horror, records the dramatic scene.

In another video, far more graphic than the first, a wounded concertgoer is seen in a wheelbarrow as a man performs CPR on him.

Another man can be heard telling him to lay the victim flat on the ground, which they proceed to do.
