Between Nazi marches in Skokie and gay pride parades in Chicago, the Windy City blows especially cold for Jews.
Three people were asked to leave Chicago’s annual gay pride parade Saturday, known locally as the Chicago Dyke March. The reason? Event organizers thought it triggering that they were carrying Jewish Pride flags, Haaretz reported.

The mere sight of gay pride’s iconic rainbow colors merged with the Star of David it was feared, would make fellow parade participants feel unsafe.

This is apparently the first year that the organizers have banned the Jewish Pride flag at the Dyke March.
“it was a flag from my congregation which celebrates my queer, Jewish identity which I have done for over a decade marching in the Dyke March with the same flag,” Laurel Grauer, a member of the Jewish LGBTQ organization A Wider Bridge, told the Windy City Times.
So much for diversity and inclusiveness.
The Chicago Dyke March calls itself an “anti-racist, anti-violent, volunteer-led, grassroots mobilization and celebration of dyke, queer, bisexual, and transgender resilience,” according to its Twitter account.
Well, “anti-racist” except for that Jewish thing. More than a few found it ironic that they would favor Palestine over the Jewish state given Islam’s intolerance of homosexuality.
In Palestine homosexuality is a Capital Offense. That’s fact, not opinion. Are these people really that obtuse and uninformed?

Yes. They identify w/the victim card played by the pro Palestine ppl being “triggered” by anything Jewish in order to exclude Jews. It works

God almighty. Don’t these half wits know what happens to gay people in “Palestine”!? The left is completely devoid of any sense. Mindless!

The organizers’ decision had the opposite desired effect on at least this person.
This kind of thing only strengthens my staunchly pro-Israel stance. It’s the only liberal democracy in the ME.

Finally, one wondered what’s the deal with this “pride” thing.
I don’t comprehend #Pride2017. Pride comes from an accomplishment. Whats the accomplishment? What did you do? #HappyPride #NYCPride.

Good question.
During the late 70s, the American Nazi party wanted to march through the village of Skokie, a Chicago suburb. Residents there resisted the idea — Skokie is and was heavily Jewish.

The long and the short of it is the Nazi’s held their little parade. So much for the Windy City being welcoming to Jews.
