“[He] now does an impression where whenever I’m bothering him he says, ‘fake news,’” he said.

The term has became a part of the American lexicon when it comes to a compromised media, courtesy of President Donald Trump.

The CNN anchor added that he wants his children to “be proud” of the work he does.

“I’ve got two kids,” Tapper said. “They’re going to someday read back about this period in our history and I want them to be proud of me.”

A thought Tapper should keep at the forefront of his mind when on air.
