Trump rushed off stage following security threat in Reno; what Donald did next has everyone talking

DC-NEWS 300X71By Ted Goodman, DCNF

U.S. Secret Service rushed Republican nominee Donald Trump off stage during a speech Saturday night in Reno, Nevada.

Near the end of his speech, Trump put his hand above his eyes as if he was trying to look at a specific part of the crowd, when Secret Service agents sprang into action, two of them whisking Trump off stage, while others quickly jumped into the crowd to subdue an individual

Noah Gray, a CNN producer reported that, according to local law enforcement officials told members of the crowd that a man had shouted “he has a gun,” but stressed that the reports were unconfirmed.

Numerous reports that a white male in his 30’s or 40’s was detained, with witnesses reporting that they heard a man had a gun, but at this point, there is nothing available to confirm the presence of a gun.

Individuals attending a campaign event under secret service protection must go through magnetometers, which were present at the event in Reno. Numerous pool reporters at the scene have said that cell phone footage near the incident could not confirm the presence of a weapon.

Trump returned to the stage minutes later, and finished his speech, stating; “Nobody said it was going to be easy for us. But we will never be stopped. Never, ever be stopped.”

Trump arrived in Nevada, after two earlier campaign stops in Florida and North Carolina. He is scheduled to travel from Reno, to a campaign rally in Denver, Colorado late Saturday.

The campaign released a statement soon after the incident, thanking law enforcement officials and the U.S. Secret Service. “I [also] want to thank the many thousands of people present for their unwavering and unbelievable support. Nothing will stop us – we will make America great again!,” the statement reads.
