Moderator Lester Holt interrupted members of the crowd who cheered on Republican nominee Donald Trump Monday, but allowed the crowd to cheer for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in the debate.
Trump slammed Clinton’s foreign policy strategy, “She’s telling us how to fight ISIS. Just go to her website, she tells you how to fight ISIS on her website. I don’t think General Douglas MacArthur would like that too much,” Trump said.
“No, no, you’re telling the enemy everything you want to do. You’re telling the enemy everything you want to do. No wonder you’ve been fighting ISIS your entire adult life.”
The crowd went wild, and Holt quickly sprung to action to interrupt the crowd, telling the candidates that they needed to move on.
Clinton later attempted to re-frame Trump’s attacks to mean that Clinton was too prepared.
“I think Donald just criticized me for preparing for this debate. And yes, I did, and you know what else I prepared for? I prepared to be president. And i think that’s a good thing,” Clinton said among cheers.
In fact, it was Clinton herself who quieted the crowd when she continued her statements attacking Trump’s previous birther claims.

Did anyone notice that Lester Holt let the crowd cheer for Hillary, but when they roared from Trump he told them to not cheer. #Debates2016
