Back when Michelle Obama told Hillary: ‘If you can’t run your own house, you can’t run the White House’?

While President Obama was busy praising Hillary at a swanky Manhattan fundraiser, comedian Tim Young posted a not-so-subtle reminder that things weren’t always so hunky-dory between the Obamas and Clintons.

During the 2008 Democratic presidential primary, Michelle Obama made note of former President Bill Clinton’s extramarital misadventures.

Commenting on the need for those in the executive mansion to be good role models, she said “If you can’t run your own house, you certainly can’t run the White House.”

Young’s reminder stirred up lots of commentary, including:

One person posted another reminder about Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump — but was quickly put in his place.

And then there were the rumors of Hillary Clinton’s own misadventures:

This was but a tiny indication of the cracks in the Obama-Clinton relationship in 2008 and beyond, outlined in greater detail by author and columnist Edward Klein in his book, “Blood Feud: The Clintons Vs. The Obamas.”
