Greta Van Susteren speaks out about abrupt departure: ‘Fox has not felt like home to me for years’

In a shocking revelation, Fox News viewers found out Tuesday, that “On the Record” anchor Greta Van Susteren will be leaving the network immediately.

The announcement came on the heels of a whopping settlement awarded to former Fox host Gretchen Carlson after she alleged sexual harassment charges against ex-CEO Roger Ailes.

Van Susteren’s seemingly quick departure left open for a lot of speculation, and the ex-Fox host tried to temper it a bit with a quick statement to Twitter saying she hadn’t felt “at home” at the network for years.

Reaction immediatelly rolled in:

Greta had been  critical of ex-coworker Carslon’s allegations against Ailes. Some have speculated it was the huge settlement and apology from Fox News to Carslon that put Van Susteren “over the edge.”

Fox senior political analyst Brit Hume will be taking over as “On the Record” anchor, Sept 6. Needless to say, Van Susteren fans aren’t too happy about it.
