GOP nominee Donald Trump may have just received the most precious gift he’s ever gotten while on the campaign trail.
During a campaign rally, Trump announced to the crowd that a U.S. military veteran had given him his Purple Heart, saying he had “always wanted to get the Purple Heart.”

“Something very nice just happened to me. A man came up to me and handed me his Purple Heart,” Trump told supporters at his rally. “I said to him, ‘Is that like the real one or is that a copy?’ And he said, ‘That’s my real Purple Heart. I have such confidence in you.'”
Trump then invited the veteran on stage to receive the decoration, all while the crowd chanted “USA! USA!”
“I always wanted to get the Purple Heart,” Trump said. “This was much easier.”
