Amid criticism that he has been unfairly giving GOP front-runner Donald Trump disproportionate airtime compared to other candidates, Fox News host Sean Hannity defended himself.

Hannity claimed that he has repeatedly been turned down by Sen. Ted Cruz to appear on his show after reaching out to the candidate multiple times.

Twitter followers accused the conservative television host of giving Republican front-runner Trump excessive time on the air while Cruz’s last appearance lasted only 12 minutes, according to a campaign spokesperson as reported by The Blaze.

Rapid response director for the Cruz campaign Brian Phillips indicated that the Texas senator’s appearance on Monday’s “Hannity” was dominated by the host “pushing Trump smears.”

While some Twitter users supported Hannity’s claim, others were not so forgiving.
