Bombshell Biden memorandum reveals plan to thwart Trump deportation efforts: report

U.S. Sen. Eric Schmitt, a Republican, has published a previously unseen Biden-era White House presidential memorandum.

Written by former President Joe Biden’s “Senior Advisors” during the final days of his lame-duck presidency, the memo advised the president to expand the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) program.

Why? To block then-GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump from potentially deporting an estimated 3.1 million noncitizens, including illegal alien gang members.

“His team was searching for ways to lock in his mass-migration regime before Trump took power,” Schmitt alleged in a tweet.

In additional tweets, Schmitt explained how TPS is a program that grants work permits and deportation protection, and how the Advisors sought to apply a “redesignation” that would have expanded eligibility for newly arrived migrants.

“Biden’s team was considering making millions more eligible—then leaving President Trump to process the claims,” Schmitt explained.

The tweet included a video in which he further expounded on this:

“TPS was created for emergencies,” he said in the video above. “Democrats turned it into a one-way racket towards permanent mass migration. Here’s how the racket works. An emergency creates temporary status. Then the emergency passes, but the status stays.”

“The deadline arrives, but Washington extends it. The voters demand enforcement, but Democrats refuse. Every click moves towards permanence. None moves back towards the law. That is the TPS racket,” he added.

The memo itself openly discussed rushing out TPS extensions and redesignations before Trump’s 2025 inauguration to create a barrier against his “planned mass deportations,” with the motivation being to appease leftists and also “protect” migrants from the outcome of the 2024 election.

According to Schmitt, the plan would have shielded:

455,000 Venezuelans, including Tren de Aragua gang members
464,000 Nicaraguans
600,000 Ecuadorians
1.5 million Guatemalans
Tens of thousands from Ukraine, Afghanistan, and Sudan

Despite Tren de Aragua’s history of sickening violence, the Biden administration wanted to protect them because it didn’t take the threat seriously.

“The Biden Administration laughed off possibly unleashing a Venezuelan terrorist gang inside America as a partisan argument,” Schmitt noted in his tweets.

The Venezuela redesignation alone would have shielded another 455,000 people from deportation, possibly including Tren de Aragua members.

Schmitt argued that the most concerning recommendation was to create 2.1 million new TPS designees in Biden’s final weeks, despite applications usually taking six months or longer to be processed.

That full expansion did not occur, and deportations of some groups (such as Ecuadorians and Guatemalans) have proceeded. However, roughly a week after the memo was read by then-President Biden, he extended TPS for nearly one million noncitizens.

Schmitt concluded his lengthy tweet thread by noting that this effort by the Biden administration amounted to an attempt at de facto amnesty by executive action, a deportation shield (including for gang members), and a way to force years of litigation on Trump.

The senator further revealed that he’d obtained the document via a special access request to the Archivist of the United States in his role as Chairman of the Subcommittee on the Constitution.
