GOP candidate turns heads with call to deport Joe Biden

A Florida Republican congressional candidate endorsed by five GOP congressmen from the Sunshine State called for former President Joe Biden to “be deported.”

In a campaign video ad, Belinda Keiser, the vice chancellor of Florida’s Keiser University, blasted Biden’s immigration policies and concluded her message with an odd call to deport the geriatric Democrat.

Keiser is touted as an “America First Warrior” in the 30-second video in which the candidate for Florida’s 22nd congressional district says, “It wasn’t an accident; Joe Biden had a plan.”

The video, posted on X by Inside Elections Deputy Editor Jacob Rubashkin, had Keiser saying that Biden “opened the border to anyone,” but it was “not to make new Americans — Biden wanted new Democrats.”

The voice over the clip said Keiser would stand with President Donald Trump “to deport illegals, to protect American families, and American jobs.”

“I’m Belinda Keiser, and I approve this message,” the Republican candidate said at the end of the video, “because we should deport Joe Biden for what he did, but we’re gonna start with every single illegal he let in.”

The comment drew some raised eyebrows on X, where users wondered how Biden, a natural-born U.S. citizen born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, could be deported. According to the government website, a person may lose their U.S. citizenship in “specific cases.” This includes running for public office or serving in the military in a foreign country, committing an act of treason against the U.S., or voluntarily giving up citizenship.

Keiser is facing a crowded Aug. 18 Republican primary in Florida’s 22nd congressional district race, which has nine candidates – seven Republicans and two Democrats – running. U.S. Reps. Aaron Bean, Neal Dunn, Randy Fine, and Jimmy Patronis have all backed Keiser in the newly redrawn district that includes Hendry County and parts of Collier, Palm Beach, and Broward counties.

“These great Republican leaders in Congress and outstanding Floridians have demonstrated their commitment to America First principles and policies,” she said in a statement. “If I have the privilege of representing CD 22 this coming November, I would be honored to join them in the Republican Caucus.”
