Pollster Richard Baris conducted a survey ending on August 1 that showed Kamala Harris leading Donald Trump by 53 to 46 percent among Jewish voters. That would be the highest Republican percentage of the Jewish vote—which Democrats have taken for granted—in more than a century.
According to the FBI, Jews were victims of about 55 percent of religious-based hate crimes in 2022. More than any other group, Jews need a society based on individualism in the American ideal: to treat all individuals based on the content of their character and their actions.
That is precisely the opposite of Democrat identity politics—collectivism—that divides people into groups of oppressors and victims to broaden government power. To fit their worldview, collectivists view Israel as the oppressor and Palestinians as victims regardless of evidence.
The confrontation between Israel and Iran transcends religion. It is between liberty and tyranny. Harris’s actions belie her words and show that she has promoted tyranny and opposed liberty, harmful to Jews more so than to others.
As president, Donald Trump squeezed Iran to the point of adversely affecting its support for terrorist proxies: Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. The Obama-Biden-Harris regime immediately reversed this, empowering Iran and its proxies. The results were the October 7 Hamas massacre, the Hezbollah war against Israel, and the Houthis interrupting Red Sea shipping.
When Harris expresses support for Israel’s right to defend itself, she always mentions her concern for Palestinian noncombatant casualties. Harris’s collectivist concern for innocent victims is belied by her subjecting migrant children to slavery and women to rape at the hands of Mexican criminal cartels to create more Democrat voters.
Harris was tasked by Biden with mitigating emigration from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico. She has done the opposite. Harris is responsible for the disappearance of 85,000 Guatemalan children out of 320,000 the Homeland Security Department Inspector General reported missing.
Harris voices support for a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians. That enjoyed bipartisan US support when Israel and the Palestinian Liberation Organization signed the Oslo Accords at the White House in September 1993. Since then, it has become clear that the PLO renunciation of terrorism and recognition of Israel’s right to exist was false. A majority of Palestinians supported Saddam Hussein and later the Iranian Ayatollah’s tyrannical regime, hoping the regimes would eliminate Israel.
Hamas’s massacre and torture of Israelis—including women, children, and babies—was additional confirmation that a two-state solution is not feasible. Harris uses it and her feigned concern for Palestinian noncombatants to cover her support for Iran and its proxies.
Trump’s Abraham Accords were a potential path to peace that would require time. The United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco made deals with Israel that would be economically beneficial to all. A prior US-UAE-Israeli workshop discussed arranging $50 billion to promote Palestinian economic self-sufficiency instead of relying on international aid.
Opponents claimed the accords would marginalize the Palestinian people. This was a rationale to continue pursuing the failed two-state solution Harris favored publicly. Those advocating the two-state path actually wish to end Israel’s existence. Trump favors creating conditions for people of goodwill to come together, to realize their potential as individuals.
Middle East autocrats have used Israel to justify the repression of their people. Faced with Iran’s exported tyranny, these autocrats have aligned with Israel as the only country capable of militarily confronting the Iranian regime. Besides security, alignment with Israel will benefit the autocrats’ subjects economically and socially. This creates the possibility of realizing Trump’s vision.
The Iranian regime understands the potential. The most likely explanation for the October 7 Hamas massacre—facilitated by Biden-Harris support for Iran—was Iran seeking to prevent the rumored alignment of Saudi Arabia with Israel. That would have been an important boost to the Abraham Accords and a stunning defeat for Iran. The Ayatollahs could count on Biden and Harris appearing to support Israel but continuing to enable Iran.
Harris was mostly mute about campus antisemitism across the country. As president of the Senate, she did not attend Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s joint address to Congress. Harris’s criticisms of Israel’s actions against Hamas coincided with Hamas propaganda and ignored significant Israeli efforts to avoid noncombatant casualties, at an increased risk to Israeli soldiers.
Harris’s stated positions regarding Israel and many other issues are lies for political expediency. Democrat regime media spread lies and hide the truth to favor Harris.
Trump received 24 percent of the Jewish vote in 2016 and 30 percent in 2020. In the swing state of Pennsylvania, Baris’s inference of a 50 percent increase for Trump from 2020 would represent more votes than the margin given to Biden then.
Trump’s increased percentage of the Jewish vote in 2020 was due to appreciation for his policies. Israel is fighting for its survival against Iran and its enabler Harris. With this and Harris’s record since 2021, Richard Baris’s survey findings should become a reality at the polls. All proponents of liberty, including Jews, should vote for Trump.
