GOP primary concluding, Trump turning to next order of business

Op-ed views and opinions expressed are solely those of the author.

With the primaries winding down, Donald Trump and friends are turning their full attention to the general election. The indictments may hang around a bit longer but are increasingly seen as election interference. As they should be!

Democrats are running out of time. They must make a final determination on Biden’s ability to handle the top job for four more years. Or they must find a replacement. And fast! The question is, “who?”

Make no mistake. Republicans will make Kamala Harris an issue. Credit Nikki Haley for bringing up this inconvenient notation. Harris has proven little as VP, other than she appears to blend “impudence with impotence.” It is highly probable that Joe Manchin Democrats might ultimately break for RFK, Jr., or a party to be named due to their concern for the bottom of the ticket. I would not be surprised to see Dems make a last-minute VP switch to Gavin Newsome. At that point, it would be simply a matter of invoking the 25th Amendment.

Trump’s Momentum Real and Growing

You can feel the energy in Trump’s camp! Three long years of frustration, beginning with inflation and open borders have brought out people who were previously lukewarm. Now, they are whispering the dreaded phrase, “Civil War.” “Uni-partiers,” Chuck Schumer, Mitch McConnell, and Mitt Romney admit that it will take more than “mail-in ballots, demographically skewed drop box locations and registration of dead people” to get Democrats over the top this time.

Trump is wisely accentuating the border problem. He is specifying correctly that large numbers of these uninvited guests are men between 18 and 25. That is a departure from the mothers with pre-teen children who were searching for a better life in America.  Americans are taking note.

Democrats are looking to expand their party’s voter base. Neo-cons are interested in depressing the wage so that products and services can be provided at less expensive prices. Never mind the fact that those taking the brunt of this “wage depression” strategy are minorities.

Time for Drastic Measures

Let’s begin with the nine million people who have illegally come across the Southern border since Biden took office. Trump estimates this number will be as high as 18 million by this time next year. The country simply cannot maintain this type of influx. We can remove those that we can catch and likely watch them return as their first possible opportunity. Or we can implant a new reality in all who seek to enter our country without permission.

Just imagine! What if we impressed all males 18-40 into a construction operation comparable to the old “public works project” of the 1930’s? Essentially, all apprehended would be assigned construction duty on a rail line that would initiate in Dawson Creek, British Columbia and conclude in Homer, Alaska.

The original Alaska Highway (ALCAN)commenced in Dawson Creek, BC and concluded at Fairbanks, Alaska. Under the terms of that treaty, the United States can construct the railroad in Canadian territory without Canadian permission, provided it follows the same route as the highway. The lengthy summer days would afford 24/7 work crews for six months of the year. Those apprehended would be given a three- year assignment and would be subsequently deported to their country of origin upon completion.

Canada would be expected to complete the railroad. It would veer east to Edmonton, then south to Calgary and the Montana border. It would be an extraordinarily valuable piece of infrastructure for both countries! The railroad would greatly facilitate the exporting of agricultural products to Asia. A huge increase of beef and grain exports via “ALCAN RAIL” would result.

Making Amends with Russia

Whether you like Trump or not, not to mention Putin, one important aspect stands out: “The two men apparently like and respect each other.” This makes an understanding possible. It begins with the obvious commonalities of the two men. Both are “Nationalists.” Both are “Realists.” More importantly, both read history and know that the two countries enjoyed excellent relations prior to the Bolshevik Revolution.

The Soviet Union is no more. The time has come for universal Western acknowledgment. This may be difficult for the geriatric U.S. Senators currently calling the shots!

The bureaucracy is another problem. Credit Vivek Ramaswamy for calling for term limits for bureaucrats. The majority of America favors term limits for Congressmen and Senators. Bureaucrats should be included in this measure.

Tucker Carlson is taking heat from the media establishment for his less than hostile interview with Vladimir Putin. In Carlson’s view, he is practicing real Journalism while his critics are no more than mouthpieces for the “deep state narrative.” Putin has long since concluded that the United States is actually “run by men in black suits,” not by elected officials.

Left unsaid, is the trade-off. While a cozy U.S.-Russia relationship would indeed make the world a much safer place, there looms the possibility that Russia’s gender standards would cross the oceans and be embraced by an America that had no use for “Wokism.”

Equating the Green New Deal to Stakeholder Capitalism

No doubt Trump will kill many “green energy initiatives” by executive order as promised. What remains to be seen is whether he will identify the instigators of these often-impractical policies. What we have seen thus far is the result: Inflation. Fair minded Americans wanted to believe that the planet was in crisis and were willing to look at the plan. What they are witnessing is something that they cannot afford.

Also painfully evident is the vast sums of money being made by alternative energy companies at the average man’s expense. Americans have witnessed the fruits of these policies. Along the way, they have noted the accompanying hypocrisy that has come from these misguided and highly manipulative measures.
