Fox’s Faulkner likens ‘sandbagged’ Biden to ‘a bug’ after fall, says he presented ‘vulnerable’ image to nation’s enemies

President Joe Biden may have joked about his embarrassing tumble during his commencement address to graduating Air Force cadets, and the media has been working overtime to make excuses for his latest feeble accident, but America’s enemies are watching very closely and they see a weak leader, at least according to Fox News host Harris Faulkner.

On Friday’s edition of the conservative network’s popular daytime show “Outnumbered,” the subject of Biden’s nosedive came up, a fall that was quickly explained away as being the fault of a sandbag that was left laying around on the stage at Falcon Stadium in Colorado Springs where the octogenarian career politician delivered his remarks.

Later, after he had faceplanted, the leader of the free world quipped that he had been “sandbagged” but the incident only further fueled the concerns about whether he is physically and mentally fit for the rigors of a second term in the White House if reelected next November.

After the crew discussed Thursday’s fall and noted that it isn’t the first time that the senior citizen has struggled to maintain his balance, host Kayleigh McEnany talked of an iconic photo taken by Doug Mills of The New York Times that could come to be the defining image of Biden’s presidency.

“His images often summed up a presidency and I saw his yesterday of this, he tweeted it out, and it’s just this image of the Biden presidency of him being helped up in a kind of decrepit position, and it’s, you risk an image like this defining your presidency, regardless of the sandbag, but just the questions of mental acuity and more,” she said.

Faulkner took the floor, saying, “Well, just before that photograph was taken, he was on the ground with his heels and the soles of his feet faced to the sky and it reminded me of when he had fallen off the bike, he wasn’t clipped into the bike, but he had his feet in the clips, he wasn’t moving, he had stopped, and he tipped over and he ended up like in sort of a bug position with his heels and his hands to the- that is a very vulnerable, capitulated view to an enemy.”

“And just knowing that our enemies see him like that and the soles of his feet and can’t get up on his own and that sort of thing is difficult,” she added, before expressing dismay that the game has been rigged in Biden’s favor so as to not allow his Democrat opponent, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to engage him on the battlefield of ideas in a debate, something that is highly unlikely to happen.

Also chiming in on Biden’s fall on Fox News was Karl Rove, the longtime Republican consultant who was credited with being the “architect” of the George W. Bush presidency.

“He’s running against a Republican opponent and the mortality table as well,” Rove said on Friday. “I talked about this in a column a couple weeks ago. He is already older than all but five presidents were at the time of their death, and those presidents, by and large, had had an average retirement of 20-some-odd plus years by the time they passed from this Earth.”

“So, I mean, he’s 80 today, 81 by the end of the year, 82 shortly after the 2024 election and before the 2025 inauguration, and the idea somehow or another the country will be well served by a guy who is going to be 86 if he’s able to serve all four years,” he told “America Reports” anchor John King. “You covered the White House, I worked there seven years, we both know how demanding it is — and if he’s not up to the job today, why do we think he’s going to get better?”
