Actor-writer and devout Christian Kirk Cameron spoke at the Seattle Public Library on Saturday promoting his new book “Pride Comes Before The Fall,” which ironically is being touted just before Pride month, prompting leftists to tell him, “You are growing to be a real pain — you know that.”
The group heckling Cameron was small and they were objecting to his pro-faith, pro-family, and pro-country messages during the event. One protester held a huge sign displaying the message that the “Growing Pains” actor was a “real pain.”
Cameron told Fox News Digital on Sunday during an interview, “One nostalgic protester — protesting a book about humility? — lugged a huge sandwich board that said that I was ‘growing to be a real pain.’ Nicely played, sir!”
The few that showed up to protest were dwarfed by the crowds of parents, children, and families who came out to see and hear the Christian writer.

“In the city most famous for coffee and grunge music, we were awakened with a joyful song of gratitude from hundreds of parents and kids at the Seattle Public Library,” Cameron said, making it clear how pleased he was with the support in Seattle.
“My new children’s book, ‘Pride Comes Before The Fall,’ was a huge hit and the kids instantly understood the importance of its main lesson: Always be humble and kind,” he commented.
He “was especially struck by the parents who said, ‘Thank you for coming to Seattle — where people forget there are good, God-loving and patriotic families.’”
Cameron went on to share a note and photo on his Twitter feed of the event.
I love the person with the sign that says, “It’s drag Kirk,
get over it.” Indicating it’s harmless, no big deal. Yet a closer look at her jacket reveals death threats and their true violent leanings – “this machine kills.” Oh, and the Satanist goat. Nothing to worry about here. pic.twitter.com/HwVn8WnlOb— Kirk Cameron (@KirkCameron) May 29, 2023
He also tweeted, “I think he has a crush on me. I can tell by the way he insults me.”

Cameron’s new book is set to be released on June 1 from Brave Books and features two main animal characters, an elephant named Kevin and a zebra-like cat creature named Valor.
“With a nation that is so saturated with the idea that pride is a good thing, the Bible warns us that pride is the deadliest of the seven deadly sins. Before greed, gluttony, sloth, wrath, envy, and lust – is pride,” he told Fox News Digital during a phone interview.
He stated that it’s “the mother vice that gives birth to all the other dangerous things on the list.”
This is Cameron’s second book, following “As You Grow,” which was a bestseller.

He is planning other books that take aim at the other seven deadly sins.
Coach Joe Kennedy of Bremerton, Washington, told families at the Seattle event that a game plan for life included, “Love God and love this country,” according to Brave Books.
Kennedy “shared his humble story of faith,” Cameron remarked, “then reminded the kids to always do the right thing and consider others more important” than themselves.
“Thank you, Seattle!” Cameron exclaimed.

He has been traveling the nation, visiting public libraries, meeting with families, and delivering his patriotic and faith-filled messages. Leftists hate him for it.
“Humility is the road to blessing,” he told Fox News Digital.
“With a nation that is perpetuating this idea that it’s good to be full of pride — especially this coming month, as we see signs that celebrate pride all over the place — we have to warn children that it’s humility that will lead to the good life, not pride,” Cameron admonished.
“When you have an entire nation setting aside a month to celebrate something as dangerous as pride, I feel it’s my responsibility to hold up the truth of humility so kids can have a chance,” he told the Washington Times. “They deserve the chance to have a life of blessing, not a life of misery and destruction that comes from being focused on yourself.”
