Human Rights Campaign says attacking drag queens is like ‘attacking your own neighbors’

There are few things more infuriating than arguing with someone who intentionally insists on missing your very clear point.

It’s a maddening endeavor on any level, but when the argument is debated between well-funded media outlets, progressive politicians, and virtue-signaling Hollywood elites — all of whom are hell-bent on exposing children to adult activities — and average, everyday Americans who are struggling to pay their bills and raise their kids in the midst of carefully constructed chaos, it can be enough to make level heads explode.

Many believe that is exactly the point, and nowhere is it more evident than in the push from the left to hire drag queens for school functions, library story hours, and “family-friendly” events.

In the wake of justifiable pushback from concerned parents, woke liberals are now playing their go-to victim cards and claiming that drag queens “are real people with loved ones, dreams and powerful histories.”

“Attacking them means you’re attacking your own neighbors, family and community,” the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), billed as “the nation’s largest LGBTQ+ civil rights organization,” recently tweeted.

True to form, the HRC is intentionally missing the point.

As is the ever-woke HuffPost, which published a series of drag queen portraits — in and out of costume — from photographer Matt Remey “while asking them about ‘living their truth.'”

But here’s the truth neither the Human Rights Campaign or HuffPost will address: The majority of Americans have no problem with drag shows or the artists who star in them.

Many have cheerfully attended drag performances, either at bars or on the Las Vegas Strip, and found them to be entertaining — for adults.

The point they insist on dodging isn’t about whether drag queens should be allowed to proudly strut their glitter and sequins on stage, it’s about whether children should be in the audience.

The liberal media and LGTBQ activists know that’s the point.

They just choose to ignore it and call you a bigot for suggesting otherwise.

Even drag queens know children don’t belong at their shows, but, sadly, too few are willing to say that simple fact out loud.

Kitty Demure wasn’t afraid of the woke mob, and addressed the point head-on.

“Would you want a stripper or a porn star to influence your child?” Demure asked. “It makes no sense at all.”

The popular Gays Against Groomers Twitter account is also unafraid.

“Cool story,” they told the Human Rights Campaign. “Drag still isn’t for kids.”

The bigger issue, according to many, is why would drag queens want to perform for young, impressionable children.

“I think most people understand why children should be kept away from adult sexualized content,” said one user. “But no one wants to ask the question: ‘Why do these people desire an audience with children?'”

“I don’t know why that is so hard to understand,” stated another. “Drag shows have been around for years, are a fairly recognized art form & no one has had a big issue with them.”

“I’ve been to one. It was funny,” the user continued. “But they aren’t appropriate for kids. Period. Strange that they fight this.”

“The only way the Left can sell something is to lie about it,” wrote a third. “No one….NO ONE…is demonizing or outlawing drag performers.”

“We just don’t want them twerking in front of kids,” the user said. “BUT YOU KNEW THAT ALREADY.”
