On Saturday, the fawning press gathered at the Washington Hilton in the nation’s capital for the annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner where they yucked it up with President Joe Biden who lobbed barbs at the assembled sycophants and stenographers who masquerade as journalists, but one cable news commentator who understood the joke wasn’t laughing.
Following the gross pageant of political idolatry attended by the fawning scribes of the swamp and assorted celebrities, CNN’s Scott Jennings went off script with his observation that Biden, who avoids the press like few other presidents ever have, was mocking them even as they ate it all up and begged for more.
“In a lot of ways this dinner sums up my first two years in office. I’ll talk for ten minutes, take zero questions, and cheerfully walk away,” Biden jabbed the reporters who didn’t get it that the joke was really on them.

“The line that will stick with me,” Jennings remarked, recalling Biden’s knee-slapper, “I’m just gonna, for the journalists in the room, he wasn’t laughing with you, he was laughing at you.”

“I mean, the reality is I think he’s mocking the press,” he added, hitting the bullseye for those slow on the uptake. “The guy does not take questions, that he’s up there joking about it… and they’re clapping and they’re laughing about it and I… I don’t know, I think he owes… I’m pro reporter and I think that the President of the United States ought to have to talk to these reporters and not mock them.”
That didn’t sit well with one of CNN’s droids who shot back, making it all about muh..Trump.
“How did it compare to the speeches that Donald Trump gave at the White House Correspondents’ dinner?” A question that appeared to have momentarily stumped Jennings. “He didn’t give ’em. He didn’t show!”
Another regime mouthpiece jumped in, “Because he doesn’t respect reporters,” she said of the former POTUS. “And that’s the hypocrisy is that..”
“He did take their questions,” Jennings said as he spoke the inconvenient truth to his Trump-obsessed network colleagues. “He does take their questions.”
“Well he also demonized the entire profession,” came the response from the Democrat party loyalist. “So it’s like, sure, have your critique of Joe Biden but I would take Joe Biden’s stance on the press and freedom of speech over Donald Trump any day.”
“I mean, he wouldn’t even go to the correspondent’s dinner because his…because he has such…uhhh,” she said, not acknowledging that Trump correctly recognized the WHCA event as the gross orgy of the press sucking up to those who it was their duty to hold accountable as the farce that it truly is.
The mainstream U.S. media died long ago and the festering corpse was on full display at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, props to Jennings for having the stones to brave a scolding from his CNN co-workers to tell the truth, a forbidden act.
