Former President Donald J. Trump warmed up for a potential bruising rematch against President Joe Biden with the release of a hard-hitting new ad that drives home the disastrous state of the nation under the geriatric career politician and unveiled a new nickname that promises to get plenty of use in the coming months.
On Thursday, two days after Biden ended the suspense by making it official that he is running for reelection, the resilient Trump traveled to the key early primary state of New Hampshire where he thrilled the crowd with a speech chock full of applause lines, few more well-received than his repurposing of the nickname that he had previously used to fondly refer to his vanquished 2016 opponent Hillary Clinton to apply it to the current president, the patriarch of a family awash in corruption and sin.
“Today I’m going to do this and I think this could be maybe the most important part of what I’m going to say because this is going to be a major announcement. Are you ready? Is everybody ready?” Trump asked as he worked the room, “I will be retiring the name ‘Crooked’ from Hillary Clinton and her moniker. And I’m gonna give her a new name. I don’t know, like maybe Lovely Hillary or Beautiful Hillary.”
“But I’m going to retire the name ‘Crooked’ so that we can use the name for Joe Biden because he’ll be known from now on as ‘Crooked Joe Biden,” he announced. “You would think that Hillary would be very happy today. She’s out there someplace celebrating because there’s never been anyone in the history of American politics so crooked or dishonest as Joe Biden.”

“Crooked Joe” replaces “Sleepy Joe” and is just the latest in a long line of monikers that Trump has regularly churned out since he waded into the political arena eight years ago with a sample of the more memorable ones being “‘Lil Marco” Rubio, “Low Energy” Jeb Bush, “Lyin’ Ted” Cruz, “Crazy Bernie” Sanders, “Ron DeSanctimonious” DeSantis and who could forget, “Pocahontas” for serial ethnicity exaggerator Senator Elizabeth Warren, possibly the only female Democrat who is even more unlikable than Hillary.
Team Trump also took aim at “Crooked Joe” in a new ad that hits all the right notes on illegal aliens and deadly fentanyl poison flooding into the country, the nation’s adversaries laughing at America, war, the global elite, the seduction of children into the cult of transgenderism and brainwashing them with false history, assault on people of faith and cities overrun by violent criminal thugs as well as the kick in the gut of inflation which has been erased from the picture by a corrupt media even as Americans struggle to put increasingly costly food on the table.
“A nation in decline,” a narrator says as an image of the octogenarian leader tripping and falling on the steps of Air Force One. “This is Joe Biden’s America, failing, weak. But one man, one movement can change all that for us,” he says as Trump walks into the picture, a stirring summation of the current grim reality that plays out over the 100-second spot.

The former president weighed in on another video, Biden’s reelection announcement that he didn’t even see fit to deliver live and in person, probably not all that bad of an idea considering that a recent poll shows a supermajority of 70 percent of Americans not wanting him to run for another term.
“Biden announced his presidential campaign by, get this, a prepackaged video, one that took 7 takes to get it ‘right,’ if right is what you want to call it. In it he says TRUMP & MAGA pose a threat to Democracy. NO, IT IS BIDEN WHO POSES THE THREAT TO DEMOCRACY IN THAT HE IS GROSSLY INCOMPETENT AND BASICALLY, DOESN’T HAVE A CLUE! WE ARE NOW A NATION IN SERIOUS DECLINE, A NATION THAT HAS LOST ITS WAY. WE ARE LED BY A HOPELESS PERSON, BUT WE WILL WIN IN 2024 AND, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Trump also reacted to Biden’s tiresome insistence that he and his followers are a threat to “democracy,” a term that has been hijacked by the Democratic Party as a cloak for their own ruthless authoritarianism.
“No,” he said. “It is Biden who poses the threat to democracy because he is grossly incompetent, he has no idea what he is doing and basically, he doesn’t have a clue, and that is a very bad position to put our country in.”
