Biden accuses GOP of wanting to defund police, abolish FBI

President Joe Biden has built his decades-long political career on a tendency of playing fast and loose with the truth, and in another one of the lies that are left unchallenged by the fawning media, he falsely accused congressional Republicans of wanting to defund the police.

Biden made his remarks on Tuesday while on a trip to the left coast where he spoke to survivors of the mass shooting at a Lunar New Year celebration in Monterrey Park in January where a gunman killed 11 people with a semi-automatic weapon before taking his own life.

“Last week, I laid out in my budget that we invest more in safer communities and invest in mental health services for those affected by gun violence. Congressional Republicans should pass my budget instead of calling for cuts in these services or abolishing the police or defunding the FBI,” Biden said, pointing the finger at GOP lawmakers instead of his own Democrats who have declared open war on law enforcement with devastating consequences, especially for residents of Dem-controlled cities.

Biden doubled down on his fib about Republicans and defunding the police on Twitter while slightly moderating to only blame “MAGA Republicans,” a familiar target whom he has repeatedly demonized, and in one vile speech last year, effectively declared them to be enemies of the state.

The disinformation spreader-in-chief also used the occasion to take aim at the Second Amendment with the latest in a series of executive orders that marked his dictatorial reign during which he has repeatedly churned out decrees that bypass Congress, this one on stricter background checks for gun owners.

“First, this executive order helps keep firearms out of dangerous hands, as I continue to call on Congress to require background checks for all firearm sales,” he said to applause. “And in the meantime — in the meantime, my executive order directs my attorney general to take every lawful action possible — possible to move us as close as we can to universal background checks without new legislation.”

Biden also returned to a familiar tactic by conjuring his dead son Beau Biden, who tragically died from brain cancer in 2015.

“The executive order also expands public awareness campaigns about the ‘red flag’ orders — the laws — which my son, when he — before he died — Attorney General of Delaware — was a great proponent of it and instituted it,” Biden said. “So more parents, teachers, police officers, health providers, and counselors know how to flag for the — a court that someone is exhibiting violent tendencies, threatening classmates, or experiencing suicidal thoughts that make them a danger to themselves and others and temporarily remove that person’s access to firearms.”

Biden also threw red meat to the crowd by reiterating his intent to ban so-called assault weapons, a top priority of Democrats and their authoritarian left-wing allies who have made no secrets about their desire to disarm law-abiding gun owners.

“And I’m determined, once again, to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines!” Biden said.

“I led that fight to ban them in 1994. The 10 years that law was in place, mass shootings, went down,” Biden said, blaming GOP lawmakers for allowing the ban to expire and seeming to suggest that Republicans have blood on their hands.

“Mass shootings tripled since then,” he said. “So, let’s finish the job. Ban assault weapons. Ban them again. Do it now. Enough. Do something. Do something,” he thundered, working the emotions of the crowd which cheered his zeal to trample on the Constitution.

“It’s time for Congress to ban assault weapons – we did it in 1994, and shootings dropped. After Republicans in Congress let it expire – mass shootings tripled,” Biden wrote on Twitter on Tuesday. “Today, I’m signing an Executive Order to fight gun violence, but Congress must act. Enough is enough.”

“He is directing the attorney general to move as close as we can to universal background checks without additional legislation,” said a senior administration official of Biden’s anti-gun decree that will unleash his rabidly partisan attack dog Merrick Garland to enforce the stricter background checks on gun buyers.

Biden capped off his busy day with one of his trademark gaffes as he was speaking to high-rolling Democratic Party donors in Las Vegas.

“I got here on Air Force One. I’m watching and you got Western Oregon deciding they’re going to secede and become part of Idaho,” he told the audience. “What in the hell is going on?”

However, the 80-year-old Democrat flubbed his delivery by mixing up the part of the state that wants to bolt the leftist utopia, with the only place that Western Oregon could secede to being the Pacific Ocean.
