A Maryland mom was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and trespassing after she allegedly stormed into Aberdeen Middle School with her daughter in tow and made a beeline for the student she says had been bullying her little girl.
According to police, Kelly Sadik, 41, buzzed the school’s outside intercom and was let in by the main office.
Once inside, Sadik ignored school protocol, flew past the sign-in office, and charged the alleged bully.

What started as an argument ended in a physical confrontation when Sadik grabbed her daughter’s suspected tormentor by the arm as she tried to walk away, according to police.
The angry mama bear left “a pretty nice-sized red mark and bruise on that arm,” Aberdeen Police Sgt. Jason Neidig said.
A teacher witnessed the altercation and immediately intervened, police reported.
But according to the victim’s grandmother, Judy Kibler, the school didn’t stop Sadik fast enough.
“I don’t get how she got that far without somebody doing something,” she told CBS News. “I’m a grandparent. I know when you go to the school, you get buzzed in, you go straight to the office.”
Kibler learned of the incident from her son-in-law.
“First I was in shock,” she recalled, “but then I was angry, frustrated, and really upset.”
Speaking to WBAL-TV, the victim’s father, Charles Bates, said, “The biggest concern was how quickly she got into the school.”

“She bypassed the office, and then she got a direction location of where my daughter was,” he continued. “She could have had a weapon. She could have had anything. That’s the most frightening part about it.”
Donoven Brooks, Harford County Public Schools chief of safety and security, said the staff responded as soon as Sadik broke protocol.
“We vet folks that are coming into our schools,” he said. “Protocol was followed today by our staff.”
“Unfortunately, we had a parent that decided to break protocol,” he continued. “But, fortunately, we had staff members who immediately identified, through their vigilance, and just knowing the building – that there was something that was not right and immediately stepped in to take action.”
Horrific videos of children getting violently bullied and beaten have recently swamped social media.

With tragic stories such as these fresh on parents’ minds, it’s no wonder that social media is cheering for Sadik.
“More moms like Kelly Sadik please,” wrote one user on Twitter.
“Free her,” another tweeted. “We’ll all buy her a drink.”
As one user stated, “This is what happens when schools don’t do their job.”
It’s a sentiment shared by many.
“So the focus is on the mother getting into the school quickly to confront the kid that was bullying her kid and nothing is said about the school stopping the kid from bullying her child,” tweeted a fourth. “There’s more to this story.”
