A grief-stricken mother named Rebecca Kiessling, who lost her two sons to fentanyl poisoning in 2020, was enraged after President Biden laughed off the claim that his policies might be to blame for their deaths, calling him “despicable” for it.

Kiessling’s sons Caleb and Kyle tragically died in 2020 shortly before Biden took office. The boys took what they thought were Percocet painkillers but they were laced with fentanyl and resulted in their deaths.
The bereft mother lives in Michigan. She testified before Congress this week at a hearing that addressed the spiraling fentanyl crisis. During that hearing, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) intimated that the boys would still be alive if “the government secured the border.”
Biden used her words to mock the congresswoman Wednesday night to an audience of sniggering Democrats at the House Democratic Caucus Issues Conference.
“I’ve read she was very specific recently saying that a mom, a poor mother who lost two kids to fentanyl, that I killed her sons. Well, the interesting thing: That fentanyl they took came during the last administration. Heh-heh,” the president remarked.
Kiessling was shocked and furious at Biden’s crassness and heartlessness over the death of her sons.
“This is how you speak about the death of my sons? Because a congresswoman misspoke? You mock the loss of my sons?” she demanded in the video on Facebook.

“How dare you. What is the matter with you? Almost every Democrat on the committee offered condolences, they at least had the decency to do that. You can’t even do that? You have to mock my pain?” she raged.
The mother alluded to the rise in fentanyl deaths across the nation since Biden took office as well, “My children died about six months before he became president. There have been failed policies by many administrations for far too long, ever since there was a surge in drug deaths due to fentanyl. This has been a problem for a long time.”
“[But] what about the 22% increase in fentanyl deaths since you became president? That represents tens of thousands of US citizens who died under your watch, an increase in tens of thousands. That represents double that number of the parents who are suffering,” she said, excoriating the president for not addressing the deadly problem.
“You’re going to keep laughing? About those who did die under your watch? Do we have to bring them in so you can look them in the eyes and laugh? What is wrong with you? This is unacceptable. Our president needs to apologize to me, and he needs to be held accountable,” Kiessling demanded.

She may be waiting a long time. The White House has not responded to her outrage and has not been forthcoming with an apology, according to the Daily Mail.
Kiessling appeared on Fox News this week to discuss the fentanyl crisis and the deaths of her sons. She laid the blame on China for the deaths of Americans from fentanyl poisoning. China is the leading manufacturer of chemicals that are often shipped to Mexico and used by cartels to produce fentanyl.

In her testimony in front of Congress, Kiessling charged that more was done over a “weather balloon” than to protect children from fentanyl.
“If we had Chinese troops lining up at our border with weapons aimed at our cities… you damned well know you’d do something about it. We had a weather balloon from China going across our country. Nobody died and everybody’s freaking out about it. But 110,000 die every year and nothing is being done. You talk about children being taken away from their parents. My children were taken away from me,” she asserted.
“This shouldn’t be politicized it’s not about race. Fentanyl doesn’t care about race. You are welcoming drug dealers across our borders and giving them protection, but not protecting our children,” Kiessling said blasting Democrats.
“@POTUS needs to apologize for this immediately. No person, let alone the president of the United States, laughs when speaking about a mother who lost two sons to fentanyl poisoning,” Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) tweeted.
The official House Republican Twitter account simply commented, “DISGUSTING.”
“Biden just laughed while talking about a Mom whose kid was killed with Fentanyl. This is so incredibly inappropriate and vile,” conservative podcaster Robby Starbuck noted.
The Republican National Committee’s Jake Schneider also slammed Biden, “Truly the lowest bar possible for Biden — what a disgusting person. Losing children to fentanyl trafficking is never, ever funny. Just vile.”
