‘Am I wrong?’ Passenger says he wanted to slap man who refused to switch seats so he could sit by wife

In what amounts to the ultimate first-world problem, an airline passenger took to social media to complain about a fellow traveler refusing to switch seats with him so he could sit next to his wife.

Jay Kloss was so bothered by the refusal that he posted a TikTok video saying that he wanted to slap the man, before asking viewers if he was in the wrong in wanting to resort to violence.

Shirtless, to showcase his tone physique and extensive tats, and wearing a baseball cap backward, Kloss explained that he and his wife, Zoe, were unable to book seats next to each other and were separated in the business class section of their Virgin Atlantic airlines flight, which has no middle seats. They were in the same row, but he was in an aisle seat while Zoe was seated by the window in the row across from him — meaning there was an aisle and one seat between them.

Which was apparently more than Kloss could bear, so he asked the man sitting in that seat to switch with him. He said that after being rejected that he wanted to slap the man but didn’t “because we were on a plane.”

“So, he’ll make us sit on either side of the aisle, just for no reason. It’s the same seat,” Kloss said. “So anyway, I’m like, ‘Bro, really? You sure you can’t swap seats with us?’ And he just doesn’t respond to me.”

“Am I missing something? Can somebody explain to me what the hell is going on here? It’s the same seat, just on a different side of the aisle.”

Of course, his eagerness to slap the passenger might be an indication that the other man was not much of a match for the well-toned whiner.

In the end, a story that may come across as much ado about nothing really was much ado about nothing — turns out, the woman sitting next to Jay gave up her window seat for Zoe’s window seat.

As for his inquiry about being wrong, social media users were not even close to being on his side.

“Bro im sick of people asking to switch seats. Book the right seat first,” one posted.

“That was Karens husband Daren,” another said.

“Sorry your wrong. You shoulda chosen seats together when you booked,” a third person offered.
